PEC holds career development week

A career development week is being held at Punjab Engineering College beginning today. Known to be the first ever career development week in the college, it aims to equip the students before they finally appear for the recruitment drive scheduled for July-August.
Giving details of the programme, Dr M.L. Gupta, training and placement officer, said, “The career development week will help the students verify companies and learn about technologies which are in great demand.”
The week will see reputed companies visiting the campus, including Fluor Daniels, Accenture, L&T, etc.
More than 300 students attended a presentation made by officials of Fluor Daniels who visited the campus today.
In preparation for the special week, mock placements were also held in the college on April 14, which saw the participation of more than 200 students. After the test, various interview panels were also formed to give the students a feel of how the real placements take place.
