Celebrate Divali Bhatti style
Chandigarh, October 31 2005:
Jaspal Bhatti, the renowned comedian and alumnus of PEC Chandigarh, was doing the rounds of the city today gifting his friends, colleagues and relatives with plants on the occasion of Divali. He along with his wife Savita Bhatti were seen travelling in Sector 19, his residential area, on a cycle rickshaw.
Jaspal Bhatti pedalled the rickshaw which was laden with a wide range of flowers. “I am cycling to distribute the plants in my sector and I have hired a van to deliver them in other sectors”, he said.
He said the idea behind giving plants instead of traditional gifts was to propagate the message of pollution-free environment. The van carrying the plants had a message which read “Say no to crackers: Terrorists have already done enough damage with the blasts”.
