     Mini Marathon: Raman, Shruti reign supreme

RAMAN Sonkhla and Shruti Singh were first in the boys and girls’ categories respectively during the mini marathon which was organised by the Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Sector 12 on Sunday.

The marathon was held with the purpose of promoting ‘health and wellness’ awareness through physical activity among the citizens of Chandigarh.

The race started at the PEC athletics stadium and finished at Sukhna Lake. Almost 300 students, faculty members, staff and their wards participated in the event out of which more than 210 participants completed the event successfully.

Results:

Boys: 1 Raman Sonkhla, 2 Vikas Yadav, 3 Vinay, 4 Neeraj Jhawar, 5 Vaibhav, 6 Piyush Bansal.
Men: Faculty: 1 Dr S.K. Singh, 2 Prof S.K. Suman, 3 Prof K.K. Gogna.
Staff: 1 Harjinder Singh, 2 Gurmail Singh, 3 Harmesh Bindal.
Wards: 1 Prabhjot Grewal, 2 Nimit Walia, 3 Des Raj.
Girls: 1 Shruti Singh, 2 Garima Sharma, 3 Anu Jain, 4 Divya Kesari, 5 Shagandeep, 6 Tushita Garg.
Female Faculty: 1 Surekha, 2 Harpreet Grewal, 3rd Kusum Gupta.
Staff: 1 Rani Devi, 2 Purneema, 3 Santosh.
Wards: 1 Megha, 2 Jasleen Grewal, 3 Apoorva.
